Newnan’s local VFW Post 2667 recently held its Patriot’s Pen essay contest for middle school students.
VFW Post 2667 believes in good citizenship and fostering patriotism. This national contest by the VFW is one way they do that, by encouraging youth to look at the country’s history and their own experiences. It is open to sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students throughout the country who are enrolled in a public, private, parochial school or a home study program.
