For the seventh year, the Coweta County School System supported a coin drive for Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy, and this year they raised enough money to send over 6500 books into the homes of preschool children in Coweta County.

Coweta County schools competed against each other to see which school could bring in the most coins. The winners would receive $100 cash awards from United Bank of Newnan. Ruth Hill Elementary won for the elementary level with $1349.37 in coins. Madras Middle School won for the middle school level with $1344.23, and East Coweta High School won for the high school level with $2401.83.
