Coweta County's first teacher-led EdCamp was recently held to give teachers and administrators an opportunity to collaborate and lead interactive learning sessions on topics such as Google for Edu, chromebook use in the classroom, new technology and apps, and teacher leadership.
"Teachers had a chance to learn in a setting that was comfortable and collaborative, which is indicative of the edcamp model of professional development, " said Laura Farmer, co-leader of EdCampWestGA. "We were so lucky to have West Georgia Resa sponsor the event. They provided us the space as well as breakfast, snacks, and technology use. It was a wonderful venue to bring together educators from our county as well as educators from surrounding districts.”
