The Carnegie Foundation recently sponsored the Minecraft STEM event at the Newnan Carnegie library as a celebration for the kids who participated in the “Mayor’s Summer Reading Program of Awesomeness.”
Kids who registered for the summer reading program and then read at least 350 minutes throughout June and July were able to come to the event. For the celebration, kids were able to experience several different science activities. They also took turns playing Minecraft with Newnan Mayor Keith Brady.
